The treyssm walks slowly with her owlbear cub padding beside her leaving a trail of freshly grown green grass behind them. “It was kinda unfortunate we decided to go celebrate the summer solstice in Elturel. But I'm glad we were there to help bring Elturel back to the material plane.” says Lily. “Yea literally went to Avernus and back.” Squeaked lumi as she laughed at her silly joke. “How about we just settle down somewhere and just chill?” Asked Lily; “Have I ever taken you to the tavern I was eating at when I got my first adventure? The vibes were always so chill, although it was kinda weird how it seemed like the people who came in always dressed or talked funny.” “Nope you've never taken me there. I wanna go!” Lumi chirped up. “Ok let's go. It's about a day's walk from here if I remember the location properly.” Lily exclaimed. Lily and lumi walk steadily on the path towards the old tavern from Lily’s memory. As they were walking, Lumi and Lily had to cross a small stream. As Lumi jumped toward the stream a lily pad popped up under her so she could cross the stream without getting wet.After a day of travel they find where the tavern used to be. What stands before them is a broken down building, left in total ruins. “Awww.” Lumi squeaked sadly; “It looks like it hasn't been open for a while.” “What if we just rewinded it back to its prime and run it? I really liked hanging out here when it was running. Plus we wanted to settle down.” Lily said, kinda lost in thought. “You're saying I get to hang out and have people feed me table scraps for the rest of my day. Count me in.” Lumi stated jovially. “Alright let's see if we can get in here.” Lily says as she carefully picks up the door that is barely hanging onto its hinges. They both shimmy their way though the small opening that Lily was able to make not noticing the sign hanging off the signpost that read Flora Feather Tavern. Lily finds a broom at the corner of the room and uses it to sweep up a spot in the middle of the tavern she can use to perform her ritual. She bends down drawing a symbol on the floor with some chalk from her bag. After finishing the symbol she sits down in the center of the symbol and starts imbuing magic. As she slowly releases her magic into the surrounding building she hears the sound of a clock rewinding, and all the damage undoing itself. Before she was done releasing the magic she imbued she heard a loud thud and the building shook like an earthquake. She finished releasing her magic before opening her eyes and looking around to make sure nothing had gone wrong while she was performing the ritual. As she looked around she breathed a sigh of relief seeing the familiar sight she remembered all those years ago. Her time rewind ritual seemingly worked without a hitch.Lily stands up dusting herself off before grabbing the rug that was rolled up just slightly to the right of where she performed her ritual and uses it to cover up the symbol on the floor. “Hmmm I remember there being bean bag chairs here.” She says looking around the tavern trying to find them. At that moment she spots Lumi dragging something from under a table with her mouth “Is this what you're looking for?” Lumi tries to say very muffled. “Seems like the time rewind didn't put it back in the right place;” Lily giggles as she grabs the bean bag chairs from Lumi and plops the chairs back in their spot. “Do you want some food, Lumi?” Lily questioned Lumi as she walked towards the counter. “Yes please. I'm very hungry from our travels. We've kinda just been eating rations. I want some good food.” Lumi says eagerly. Lily nods acknowledging Lumi as she makes it behind the counter. She starts summoning the ingredients she needs to make a big meal for her and Lumi. After a while she and Lumi sit down at one of the tables to eat.As Lily cleans up the dishes from hers and Lumi’s lunch, Lumi lays down behind the counter curled up taking a nap. The bell above the door tinged, catching Lily’s attention. As she looked up, a man walked in through the door dressed very oddly. “Well I mean I remember this tavern drawing in very weird people, must still be that way.” Lily thought to herself before calling out, “What can I get for you today?” The strange man walks up to the counter lugging a huge backpack on his back. “Can I get a health potion and a fish fingers and custard? Is there a specific table that my party needs to sit at?” He asks, looking around. “Um, any table is fine.” She says going to the back to whip up the custard and frying up a breaded fish filet. “Not sure what fish fingers are but I hope this is close.” She thinks as she cooks. After she hands him his order, he walks towards a bigger table to set up. Lily stares at the man in a weird purple skin tight suit with pointed ears and a pointed hat while he takes his bag off his back. Slowly he starts unpacking and setting down books, a strange thin rectangular object that opened in the middle and glowed when he pressed one of the buttons on the bottom half, and a white map that he laid down flat on the table. He pressed the buttons on the weird object before moving around the table with a drawing implement drawing lines on the map, occasionally wiping off parts of the lines on the map and redrawing them. As he is setting up his stuff, he takes a sip of the health potion. He notices that his aches and tiredness slowly start to fade. “For a drink concoction made up of an energy drink and coolaid it certainly works. Too bad it was just a special for tonight's cosplay night.” He thought as he took a bite from his fish filet after he dipped it into the custard.After a while of setting up all of his stuff the strange guy turns to Lily and notices her staring. He waves at her to come over to his table. “I forgot to introduce myself, didn't I? My name is Trevor. You know since you're already dressed the part you should come play with us tonight.” He stated as he gestured at the stuff strewn about the table. “Hi I'm Lily. It's a pleasure to meet you. Um, sure I don't mind doing that.” She says not knowing what she is agreeing to. He smiles as he hands her the character sheet for the taverness. “Do you like the way they spruced up the place for cosplay night? Seems like it would've taken a lot of work to make it feel this authentic in just a week.” He says looking around the tavern. “You weren't here last week.” She looks at him quizzically. “Sure I was. We held session zero here last week. At this same table with the creaky leg.” He says as he jostles the table but it doesn't creak like he suspects, “Hmm I guess they fixed the leg over the week.” At that moment I hear the bell tinge as the door opens as four people walk in. “Trevor! Are you ready for session one cause we are.” One of them pipes up as they approach the table and start sitting down and unloading their bags. As they all start chatting back and forth between them, Lily starts questioning whether they were in fact here last week and the time spell may have gone haywire. She pushes the thoughts to the back of her mind as all of them order some drinks and food for the game. After serving everyone, she sits down with them roleplaying and enjoying the campaign. Although she is confused why she is playing as a character that is eeriely similar to her.After the session wrapped up the party members started chatting amongst themselves as they prepared to head out. “Let me order my Uber home real quick.” One of them said pulling out their phone. “Hey guys, I think we went to the wrong place today.” The one said as he showed everyone something on his phone. All of them started laughing as they realized that all of them remembered the street address wrong from last week. The place they were at last week was W Sycamore St and they are at S Sycamore St right now. “Well I think we can all agree we like this place better lol.” One of the other party members said. “Well I guess we should hold a vote on where we hold our sessions from now on.” Said Trevor. They all unanimously voted to do sessions here from now on.Trevor and his dnd party showed up every week to hang out and do DND at the tavern. Trevor always arrived early to set everything up and we would talk during his set up. Sometimes I would join them in the session to play the taverness. Before too long Trevor was showing up to the tavern to just hang out with me. We became good friends and he would invite me to his place to watch movies and TV shows. Like howls moving castle and doctor who. As we grew closer and closer I eventually told him about where I was from, how I got it, and how I was working towards trying to figure out how to control the dimension hop that I accidentally did to get here. Trevor sat there in disbelief before finally snapping out of it and saying he was gonna help figure out how to control it too.A couple months passed as Trevor and I worked on trying to figure out how to control the dimension hopping. Finally Trevor has a stroke of genius and suggests trying to use the tavern as a conduit. After a couple of failed attempts I finally figured it out and was able to recreate the same outcome as I had before. Armed with the knowledge of how to do the dimension hopping we started traveling the worlds and dimensions we had never seen before. Eventually we ended up back in the forgotten realms where we saw a treyssm enter the tavern young and ready for an adventure.
